The Group Authority Licence
The Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (FOH) holds a Group Authority Licence, granted by the Home Office. This licence permits any member of FOH to possess sampling media containing 1-(2-methoxyphenyl)piperazine, for the purpose of conducting the Method for Determination of Hazardous Substances for measuring organic isocyanates in air (MDHS 25).
Active members of FOH are permitted to operate under the licence as long as they comply with the requirements of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP); you can view and download this at the bottom of this page.
The licence conditions also require that all FOH members notify BOHS by 1 December each year of any usage, or planned usage, of MDHS25 during the current calendar year. BOHS uses this information to submit an annual report to the Home Office.
