Speaker: Melvyn Sargent has been involved for 50 years in the specifying, design, manufacture and testing of extraction systems for corrosive/hazardous fumes for educational, industrial, commercial and research project for UK and International clients.
Melvyn contributed to the specification DW154 Specification for Plastics Ductwork and has presented numerous workshops on the subject of fume cupboards, partial enclosures and fume exhaust systems. Currently a member of the Institute of Local Exhaust Ventilation Engineers (ILEVE); BSI committee LBI/001/01 Laboratory furniture & fittings; appointed UK delegate to European standards panels CEN TC 332 WG4 Fume cupboards and associated ventilation and CEN TC 332 WG8 Safety cabinets and isolators.
