BOHS London, South and South East Region in conjunction with the SCI Environment, Health and Safety Group present a workshop on Quantifying the Efficiency of Exposure Controls.
Andy Gillies, Gillies Associates Ltd & Alvin Woolley, Alvin Woolley Associates Ltd present 'Quantifying the efficiency of exposure controls using the draft “COMED” web tool'
Andy and Alvin will give us a preview of the workshop they will be presenting at the BOHS conference in Brighton this year. The draft “COMED” web tool is a database of unit operations and control measures with ‘before’ and ‘after’ exposure measurements to show percentage reduction in exposure when using the controls. A draft beta version of the web tool will be used in this workshop. Illustrated with some recent work on MIG welding with and without on-torch extraction.
Please bring your laptop to participate fully in this workshop.
Tea and coffee will be available, followed by sandwiches after the meeting.
The meeting will finish at about 1830.
